golden days of TV viewing

Television Channels are on the increase. When T V was introduced in India, the TV sets could accommodate less than 8 channels. But now we have TV sets which could accommodate nearly 500 channels. The demand for more channel accommodation is increasing!
I just cannot understand the NEED for more channels as most of the channels follow the same pattern of shows/programmes.
I am not coming to the + or - of the increasing number of channels. I want to take the readers to the golden days of doordarsan in late 70s& 80s The programmes like Nukkat, Mere awaz suno, Q T, Surabhi, Malgudidays, Buniyad, ulta fulta,Fouji, Circus,Rangoli, Maha barath, Ramayan, once in a while happening of the telecast of cricket, foot ball, tennis matches, Friday late night movies and even News at 9! are still lingering somewhere in our hearts!
Give below some photos which will take back you to those days,

  1. In 1970s and 1980s the prgramme on TV was interesting and everbody enjoyed though there were only two channels. With more than 500 channels and no good programme, it is only disgusting to watch TV which is rightly termed as the "Idiot Box" Because of the TV, people/Children dont go for a walk in the morning/evening, dont read books and not even attend cultural programs where people meet each other. At this rate future generation will go into the shell and gradually become introvert in future.
